In a series that featured neither Shota Imanaga or Justin Steele, the Chicago Cubs' starting pitchers blanked the Milwaukee Brewers. The entire series, not a single run allowed by a Cubs starting pitcher.

Now, you could choose to focus on the negative implication there, but I choose to stay positive. Hayden Wesneski was awesome. Jameson Taillon was awesome. And today, Javier Assad was awesome. Love that guy.

And thus the Cubs took the series from the Brewers.

Oh, and hey, today the bullpen was really good! Yency Almonte and Daniel Palencia combined to look really good. Thank you, gents.

Miscellaneous offensive contributions throughout the day for the Cubs, with a big knock from Nico Hoerner, a homer from Dansby Swanson, and THREE walks from Christopher Morel.
