Who knew an innocent-looking Ghost of Tsushima crossplay update could be so painful? Designed to bring PC and PS5 players together, it broke the game instead. Update: Sucker Punch have now updated everyone on the Ghost of Tsushima crossplay update situation. "We have resolved a backend issue that was causing gameplay to consistently hitch for players. This does not require a game update, but we recommend restarting your game or console to ensure you have the fix." Ghost of Tsushima crossplay update Sucker Punch has stated that it is "looking into it," though no timeframe for a fix was given. If you've been affected, I've also seen a few folks suggesting that you turn your internet connection off on the console to stop any hitching. That would suggest that the app is constantly trying to establish a connection to the game's online servers, resulting in performance issues. In any case, caution is advised! I think that this is one of the best open-world games around thanks to its lovely Japanese island-scape. Those reeds waving in the wind, man! What do you thin of this whole issue? Let me know in the comments below and I'll see you down there. Written by Kes Eylers-Stephenson Editor Kes is our resident expert in PlayStation and Sony news. This is an odd one, my fellow samurai! Sucker Punch just released a patch on PS5 and PS4 for its wonderful open-world game Ghost of Tsushima. The update, 2.19 (2.019.000 on PS5), makes sure that crossplay support is in place for the Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer mode Legends before the PC release on Thursday, May 16, 2024. While the update also fixes a few exploits in the multiplayer mode, it wasn't targeting the single-player campaign in any capacity.
What a surprise it was then when PS5 and PS4 players updated the game and found a stuttering mess. With reports flooding X, players seem to be encountering a range of issues. The most frequent reports are of stuttering and total game freezing, rendering the game an unplayable mess of single-frame images in some cases.
