Inauguration of the Accuray training center in Genolier, Switzerland

Accuray has expanded its global presence with the opening of a new training center in Genolier, Switzerland, which will function as the European hub for training on the CyberKnife and Radixact oncology systems.

The new center is located within the Genolier Innovation Hub, a part of AEVIS Victoria SA, and features advanced simulation facilities for hands-on training with Accuray systems. It also offers meeting rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technologies for hosting seminars, workshops, and other educational events. Training programs will be tailored to various medical professionals involved in cancer treatment, including neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, and medical physicists.

AEVIS Victoria SA is a Switzerland-based holding company engaged in the investment services sector with a focus on healthcare, life sciences, hotels and lifestyle industries.

"While our customers have multiple educational resources available to them, we play an important role and are dedicated to supporting their efforts to gain the knowledge and skills required to provide access to radiotherapy in their community and drive the highest level of patient care," said Suzanne Winter, president and CEO of Accuray, in a statement. "Our partnership with Genolier Innovation Hub will help us to do just that by providing an incredible site to access high-quality hands-on training and learn from renowned faculty."

The Switzerland facility is the latest addition to Accuray's network, joining other centers in Madison, Wisconsin; Tokyo, Japan; and Tianjin, China.

The announcement comes just weeks before the company reports its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2024, which will be shared during a conference call on May 1, 2024.
