Wait, aren't the Hollywood strikes over and everyone is finally back to work?

Seems B.C. acting mainstay Jared Padalecki — who is on hiatus from his latest series, Walker — decided he had time to help out at his friend's Metro Vancouver breakfast spot.

Padalecki, who spent ages in B.C. shooting the long-running Supernatural series, dropped in at The Big Flat Pancake Co. in Port Coquitlam for brunch over the weekend.

But he wasn't just grabbing a quick waffle to go. He helped bus tables for his buddy, the owner of the mom and pop brunch joint, serving plates and admittedly spilling a bit of coffee on some customers.

Padalecki posted about the "honest day of work" on Instagram Monday.

Padalecki is currently starring in the fourth season of Walker, a rethinking of the long-running western drama series Walker, Texas Ranger, in which he plays a widowed father trying to figure out what happened to his murdered wife.

The Austin-shot series has not been renewed by U.S.-based The CW, though it remains the network's most viewed show. (All four seasons can be seen in Canada on Amazon Prime.) Padalecki's Supernatural, shot mostly in and around Metro Vancouver, also ran for 15 seasons on The CW before coming to a close in 2020.

Not to be outdone pitching local hangouts, Burnaby-born crooner Michael Bublé was also around town this past week helping promote his new whiskey line and the hometown Orrange Kitchen + Bar.

Bublé is behind Fraser & Thompson whiskey, which is now the base for a line of cocktails at Orrange.

Bublé could also be seen around Vancouver this week pumping up the Stanley Cup-seeking Canucks. He was front and centre at Rogers Arena hyping the team in the stands in a No. 35 Thatcher Demko jersey.

Yes, the team lost that night. But look at us now.
