WestJet CEO in St. John's to Discuss 'Ambitious Growth Strategy'

The CEO of WestJet is in St. John's today to speak with local leaders about the company's expansion plans.

This is Alexis von Hoensbroech's first visit to Newfoundland and Labrador.

He will discuss what's being called the WestJest Group's "ambitious growth strategy" and its commitment to this province.

WestJet this week launched its St. John's-London, Gatwick flight, the province's only direct air link to Europe.

Tourism Minister Steve Crocker and St. John's International Airport Authority CEO Dennis Hogan will be among those in attendance with the WestJet CEO at The Rooms. later this morning.
