Layoffs coming to Boeing in Huntsville

According to the Alabama Department of Commerce, Boeing plans on making layoffs in Huntsville this summer. Initial reports say Boeing will lay off 128 employees. The layoffs are expected to start June 28.

A spokesperson with Boeing released a statement on the coming layoffs:

"We have notified some team members in Huntsville of a potential layoff, as programs are affected by decisions external to Boeing. We will continue to be transparent with team members and explore alternative placement opportunities within Boeing for impacted employees."
