UPDATED SUNDAY: Cliff Omoruyi now has a new destination. On Sunday, the former Scarlet Knight announced his decision to attend Alabama for his final year.

Cliff Omoruyi patrolled the paint in Piscataway for four years. Now, Scarlet Knight fans will follow his journey to a new team — and we are one step closer to finding out which one.

Omoruyi narrowed his list down to four schools on Friday and will announce his decision on Sunday, according to Joe Tipton of On3. The teams are North Carolina, Georgetown, Alabama, and Kansas State.

Omoruyi took a visit to all four schools with North Carolina being the final one. This list of four is cut down from 12 eliminating UCLA, Georgia Tech, Baylor, Oregon, Washington, Georgia, St. John's, and Mississippi State.

Omoruyi averaged 10.4 points and 8.3 rebounds this season while shooting 51.2% from the field. He emerged as one of the nation's best defenders, blocking 2.9 shots per game. Omoruyi led the Big Ten and was third nationally in block percentage at 12.7.

Omoruyi was a big piece in helping Rutgers make back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Last year, he tested the waters of the NBA Draft while maintaining his eligibility. Ultimately, he decided to return to Rutgers and made it clear that it would be his final season in Piscataway. Now, he is one final step away from choosing his new home for 2024-25.
