PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — The Pickens County Court on Friday ordered the ACC to turn over documents detailing its TV agreements with ESPN to Clemson University, as per Clemson's request.

As part of the order, the documents cannot be made public.

Thursday, it was revealed that Clemson is seeking damages in its lawsuit against the Atlantic Coast Conference.

In a newly unsealed court filing, the university alleged that the league has negatively impacted the school through "misstatements" and "slander."

The filing was done in Pickens County Court, all in part of an effort to avoid penalties for leaving the ACC. The suit called it "unconscionable."

Additionally, the university wants the court to declare the grant of sports broadcasting rights would not apply if the school were to leave the conference.

The ACC has responded to the suit by countersuing in Charlotte.

The documents revealed Thursday were first filed on April 16th, weeks after the ACC followed with its legal response to the school.
