Prince Harry & Prince William Might Be Considering a Reconciliation for This Very Specific Reason

Original source (on modern site)

It's no secret that Prince William and Prince Harry haven't been on the same page in years. The rift between them is vast and there seems to be no middle ground despite King Charles III's reported willingness to heal the wounds with his youngest son. However, palace sources are starting to indicate that the brothers are thinking about ways to make their relationship work — not for them, but for other important people in their lives.

Multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly that William and Harry "haven't had a real conversation in months," despite the Duke of Sussex reportedly reaching out to express his concerns amid Kate Middleton's cancer battle. One particular insider noted that "[Harry] would be more than happy [to]" speak to his sibling and would love for them to share in the exciting 10th-anniversary milestone of the Invictus Games. While that public reunion likely won't happen, the royal family might be coming together behind closed doors.

LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 17: Prince William, Prince of Wales, Prince Louis of Wales, Catherine, Princess of Wales , Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince George of Wales on the Buckingham Palace balcony during Trooping the Colour on June 17, 2023 in London, England.

A royal pal close to the Wales family indicated that it's Kate who might be ready to throw in the towel — enough is enough with this feud. The Princess of Wales is reportedly "done with all the bad blood" and thinks it is time to think about the kids instead of thinking about who should be the first to apologize. "They want a relationship with Meghan and Harry, and they don't want the acrimony to carry over to the next generation," the insider added. It would be quite the burden for Kate and William's children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, and Harry and Meghan's kids, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2, to bear the headlines that their parents caused.

A reconciliation "for the kids' sake" is a great start because "the duke and duchess want their kids to have a relationship with their cousins." It's been a terrible year for the royal family and a spark of light and love between Harry and William would be a great start. It doesn't mean that they have to be BFFs, but a healthy relationship would be beneficial to everyone behind palace walls. (What would the British tabloids do if the royal family got along?)

Not only would ending the feud be a gift to their children, but it would also mean the world to King Charles. The first source shared, "Charles very much hopes that his sons will finally heal their rift." A reconciliation might be the best thing to come out of the royal family's challenging year if they can put their differences aside for good.
