Premier Roger Cook is expecting the owners of the soon-to-be-shuttered Ravensthorpe nickel mine to reboot the unprofitable operation as soon as prices for the battery metal rebound. On Monday First Quantum Minerals confirmed it would fully shut down the famed WA mine for the third time in about 15 years, after it failed to make money against high input costs and subdued prices.
