GWS forward learns MRO fate for high bump that concussed Swan

Original source (on modern site)

GWS forward Callum Brown has been handed a three-match ban for his high bump on Sydney's Tom McCartin.

Brown caught the Swan high after chasing a loose ball. Once McCartin possessed the footy, the Giant braced for contact with his shoulder hitting the defender's face.

McCartin was concussed as a result and the MRO graded the incident as rough conduct that was careless, high contact and severe impact.

He'll miss the upcoming games against the Bombers, Bulldogs and Cats if he accepts the ban.

The MRO also handed out financial sanctions to Harry Himmelberg (tripping), Toby Greene (striking), Liam Shiels (striking) and Brady Hough (striking) from Saturday's Round 8 action.
