Jewel and Kevin Costner Jewel has continued to avoid answering direct questions about swirling rumors that she and Kevin Costner are romantically linked. The four-time Grammy nominee most recently faced a question about her alleged romantic partner while speaking with People. Though the "Foolish Games" singer admitted that she has "found love," she quickly clarified that she was "not talking about Kevin's" and instead said her happiness is "irrelevant of a man." "It has nothing to do with being in a relationship or not being in one," she added. Rumors of the singer and the Academy Award-winner dating sparked last December when they were photographed enjoying a cozy moment while visiting the British Virgin Islands. At the time, sources who saw Jewel, 49, and Costner, 69, told TMZ that they believed the two had traveled to the island together. Another source was quoted as saying it appeared Jewel and Costner were "trying to be discreet," but it was obvious to "anybody who saw them" that "something was going on." The "You Were Meant for Me" singer and Yellowstone star have both dodged questions about the dating rumors in the months since, though Jewel did comment on their fans' interest in the topic last month. The "public fascination is intense for sure," Jewel, who described the Bodyguard actor as a "great person," said during an interview with Elle. The dating rumors began as Costner was in the midst of a contentious divorce with his second wife, Christine Baumgartner. The handbag designer cited "irreconcilable differences" when she filed for divorce from Costner last spring. The two were married for 18 years at the time of her filing. Costner and Baumgartner's divorce was finalized in February, just a couple of months after the Dances with Wolves actor was first spotted spending time with Jewel.
