Marco Rodrigues announced for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Following the conclusion of The King of Fighters 15's grand finals at Evo Japan 2024, SNK had a special announcement to show all of their fans.

Marco Rodrigues was revealed as the latest playable character for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves with a gameplay trailer to show off his karate in action.

Since he first made his debut in Garou: Mark of the Wolves, this will be the second official outing Marco has on the roster.

Previously, you may have also known him as Khushnood Butt since that's what he was called in the English version of the game, but it looks like SNK's now making his name standard for everyone (unlike Tizoc / Griffon Mask).

As a practitioner of Kyokugen Karate, fans of Ryo Sakazaki and Marco will probably see a lot of familiar moves in his arsenal.

It appears Marco still has access to basically everything from Garou including his Kohouken, Hienshippukyaku, Ryuusenken, Kosenkyaku, Kohou, Joudan Barai, Zanretsuken seemingly as his REV Blow during S.P.G., and his Supers Haoushoukouken, Kyokugen Kohou and Ryuuko Ranbu.

We're not really seeing much new in terms of moves except maybe his air REV Blow, but he'll have a lot of new combo routes and potential using REV Accel and the other systems present in City of the Wolves.

He also comes with a new stage in Yuri Sakazaki's Fitness Club, which ties into Marco's story since his dojo sign was apparently stolen — so he mostly trains at the club for now.

They have a bear in the background wearing a karate gi too because apparently Tekken can't have the only karate bears around.

With a new King of Fighters tournament on the horizon, Rodrigues plans to enter to spread the word about Kyokugen and his dojo... as well as hopefully get his sign back.

There's still no release date beyond the early 2025 launch window with the new Fatal Fury currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

This weekend also offered the first opportunity for the public to play City of the Wolves at Evo Japan 2024 in a demo with previously revealed fighters Terry Bogard, Rock Howard, Hotaru Futaba, Tizoc and newcomer Preecha.

We also got the chance to see the game's character select screen as well, which references back to the earliest entries in the franchise.
