The Irish High Court has been asked to formally recognise a €15.4bn (US$16.5bn) judgment against the State of Argentina.

An application to recognise the judgment in this jurisdiction was granted by a New York court last year. It has been made by two groups who were each minority shareholders in the Argentine Energy Company YPF.
