Superman has a new leading man … and a new outfit of the day. In the first-look image of James Gunn's franchise reboot, we stan David Corenswet in the superhero's redesigned super-suit. The director, who all but hired himself to overhaul the flailing DC property, posted the first look on May 6 together with the studio's official social-media accounts. "Get ready," he captioned the post. We see Corenswet putting on one classic red boot at a time, just like us plebs, and wearing navy spandex and a crimson cape while his black tresses are conservatively slicked back. The image is giving more than "Get ready" — it's giving "Get ready with me" for a long night of extrajudicial crime-fighting. If he really wanted to gag the terminally online fashion girlies, he would've opted for the MSCHF red boots instead. Anyway, the film, originally titled Superman: Legacy, marches into theaters on July 11, 2025, giving you a little over a year to get your own outfit together.
